Job Description

Our Executive Assistant to the CEO will support our Chief Executive Officer, who also serves as a Global Executive Officer of Rakuten.   She/he will have insight into the strategic decision making that propels our business forward and learn from a hands-on, fast-paced & demanding corporate culture.


  • Act as a Gatekeeper to the CEO
  • Provide CEO with Daily Updates & Status Reports
  • Manage Tasks & Follow Up Items
  • Arrange Meetings & Prepare Agendas
  • Reserve & Setup Facilities & Take Meeting Minutes
  • Distribute Action Items & Track Progress
  • Greet Visitors
  • Prepare PowerPoint Presentations
  • Manage Ad Hoc Projects
  • Manage CEO’s Calendar & Communications
  • Prepare Expense Reports  
  • Manage Complex International & Domestic Travel Arrangements
  • Facilitate Local & Global Company Meetings
  • 5-10+ Years of Experience as an Executive Assistant
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Superior Judgment & Professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook
  • Ability to Prioritize & Multi-task
  • A Commitment to Proactive Follow-Up
