Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the automating the release, deployment and management of customer-facing products from development through production. Your primary focus will be on working collaboratively with developers and quality engineers to architect and build automated provisioning, configuration management, and service orchestration systems within internal corporate and public cloud environments.  As a key member of the Operations team, you will get the opportunity to work in-depth with cutting-edge technologies.

  • BSc degree in Computer Science.
  • 5+ years of experience with scripting and automation, using common scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby) along with automated provisioning (cobbler), configuration management (puppet, chef), service orchestration (saltstack), and monitoring (zabbix, nagios) tools and triggers.
  • 3-7 years of experience with DevOps-type work within a UNIX or linux-based environment; deep understanding of operating system internals.
  • Expertise with database systems, especially noSQL (MongoDB), but also relational (MySQL, Oracle) systems.
  • Understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA)
  • Demonstrable experience working with public Cloud resources (EC2, S3, Joyent, etc).
  • Understanding of networking technologies and protocols, as well as network and application security.
  • Deep understanding of IaaS systems, such as OpenStack, Cloudstack, Eucalyptus, OpenNebula, etc.
  • Experience with node.js and SmartOS
  • Understanding of ITIL
  • Experience working within a global firm.
