Job Description

Our Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing data to identify trends, inconsistencies & opportunities for growth.  We are looking for an individual who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, learns quickly, is comfortable balancing many projects at once, and is motivated to make a large impact on a fast-growing company.

The Data Analyst will:

Generate daily and weekly reports on product health/progress to be distributed across multiple departments and investigate any anomalies that arise in the reporting data.

Create and maintain open communications related to data analysis and reporting processes, and on-going evaluation of communication initiative /program success for both internal business users and external partners/customers.

Perform data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing requests by conducting accurate and appropriate interpretation of data, and developing useful and insightful information from a variety of data sources.

Interpret results of analyses, identify trends and issues, and make recommendations and offer alternatives to support business objectives and processes.

Communicate with and deliver presentations to internal team and cross-functional teams on analysis results and recommendations.

Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of data resources, business objectives and processes, including operational databases and information flow.

Participate with reviews of data integrity issues, and recommend and implement appropriate solutions, including database enhancements and procedural workarounds.

Contribute to development of database and data reporting tools in support of company operating goals and objectives.

Assist in the creation of data mining algorithms to extract actionable insights from massive data sets.

Be entrepreneurial in spirit and committed to “getting things done”. This can mean anything from implementing JavaScript needed to run a test to spending long nights at the office in order to meet deadlines.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
  • JavaScript & MySQL experience required
  • Fluency with Microsoft Excel
  • The ability to work with a team and multi-task
  • The ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment with flexibility
  • Excellent analytical skills both quantitative and qualitative; the ability to translate data to strategic advice
  • Strong critical thinking, writing, and presentation skills







  • MongoDB experience
  • Research industry experience
  • Interest in data modeling; financial services or market
  •  Familiarity with the online marketing space
