Job Description
 
 

Our Director of Accounting Operations will report to the CFO, manage a staff of 4 and take a leadership role in providing accounting support to our growing e-commerce business.  Excellent business acumen and communication skills are required.  Candidates must be comfortable in a team oriented environment and appreciate and enjoy the challenges of working for a truly dynamic business.  This position requires experience and ability in controllership at a management level and willingness to wear ‘a lot of hats’ in order to get things done.

 
  • Manage monthly, quarterly and annual close process and results; report and publish audited financials
  • Preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS
  • Develop, institute and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
  • Manage financial reporting submissions to headquarter groups
  • Manage and interface with internal and external auditors; and tax partners
  • Manage A/P; A/R and credit collections; Payroll & Cash Management
  • Coordination and administration of weekly forecasting and annual budgeting process
  • Review contracts for revenue recognition; work with Affiliate Network reports on revenue reporting ; analyze cost of sales and payment to clients to ensure compliance to contract terms
  • Continual assessment and improvement to existing accounting process flows and related internal controls
     
Qualifications
 
Required:

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA and /or CPA preferred. CPA firm experience is a significant plus.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience, at least 5 years in an accounting management role
  • Operational experience within a company a must, preferably within an online advertising company or high volume transactional business
  • International experience in transactions of multi-currency & foreign exchange is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and a track record of establishing and monitoring staff priorities in achieving department objectives
  • Strong knowledge in financial accounting systems and strong knowledge in migration to ERP systems
